Brooklyn Newborn Photoshoot
I met Daniel at the end of September on a beautiful sunny day. His mama had already had a maternity session with me a few weeks prior and we discussed the expectations of the future newborn session. As I tell all my clients, I can never guarantee any specific poses. I move with the flow of the baby and what they allow me to do. This session was a prime example of that. It was a very long session and Daniel was not feeling very sleepy for most of it. I knew mom wanted a few different options including naked poses on the beanbag but since he was not settling I decided to flip the poses and wrap him first. This helped calm him and eventually put him to sleep. I started with two different prop poses followed by family shots and macros. I wanted to take advantage of his sleepiness and get as much done as possible. I then began to unwrap him and pray for the best with naked poses. By some miracle, we did achieve majority of my beanbag flow. They had my top package which includes a 10×10 luxury album so it is always important to me to get as much variation as possible but also working with the needs of the baby.
