Bergen County Maternity Photographer
I arrived to the Bergen County home of my beautiful client Cecilia. She was finishing up hair and makeup with Jessica from GlitzGlamandGore. Jessica did a simple makeup look with a pulled back high bun. My assistant and I got right down to business and started setting up the multiple sets we would be using. My client requested a very fine art shoot and wanted to incorporate her daughter. We started with some “Motherhood” shots on my new golden canvas backdrop form Vlada Backdrops. The baby was so good and gave us the cutest smiles. We drapped mom in a neutral silk and embraced the simplicity of their connection. Then it was off to nap time for the little one and some more artistic focus on Cecilia. She requested a few laying down poses so we tried a few variations. I knew a lot of them would look amazing with an added reflection in Photoshop. I try to envision the end before the beginning so I know exactly what I want to capture. My client came to me with another artist’s work (a photographer I look up to and mentored with) and as much as I stress that inspiration images need to come from my own work I agreed that I would try this pose. I can’t claim all the artistic fame on this one though. I am lucky to have learned from the best and applied my knowledge here. Even though it came out slightly different I am proud of the outcome.
