Brooklyn Cake Smash
It is crazy how a year can pass by so quickly. I met Mia’s lovely mother, Julia the year before at her maternity session and since then have also had a newborn session with this family. Milestone sessions like these are so important to capture. The babies have developed personalities and have grown so much since their first days. Mia wanted nothing to do with the first two setups. She disliked our singing, our dancing and the our funny faces. I was scared for the cake portion of the session because that is when most babies cry and try to run away. Instead, Mia destroyed her cake and created the biggest mess. She may be the best smasher I have ever had. We had some serious laughing behind the scenes. It was totally not the direction I imaged this session going but it turned out to be the best scenario possible. Scroll down to see what I mean.
