Huntington Long Island Newborn Photoshoot
It is not usual that I can fit in last minute sessions however I do try my best. In this case, Owen’s mom contacted me when he was a few days old. She did not take photos with her first son so it was important to get these images of her new baby boy. As soon as she found out i can fit her in she secured the spot immediately. We drove out to Long Island on a sunny morning to capture this precious time. Baby Owen had a rough start to the morning and was not ready to fall asleep just yet. We set up the beanbag with fabric and laid out bonnets and wraps we would use. We did the same for 3 props; bucket, trough and wooden bed. Mom had purchased my Elite Collection so we were aiming to get it all if possible. Finally Owen was down for the count and we were ready to begin. We successfully did beanbag poses, 3 props, macro close ups as well as family shots including his 2.5 year old brother. Big brother was so good and let us take a collection of great expressions while he snuggled his new baby brother. We styled the session in cream, tan and brown. I personally love these earthy tones because they photograph so well however most clients pick the typical blues and greens for boys. Mom loved the session so much she picked a lot of extra ones to include to her package. Sometimes it is hard to choose and the option to purchase more is helpful.
