Miss Bella was a special baby. She was born almost 4 months before her due date and had to spend a lot of time in the NICU. I never photographed a baby that was born as early as her so I was extremely nervous how the session would unfold. I didn’t think she would be as curly or sleepy as my other babies that I photograph under 2 weeks old but I was determined to still achieve posed newborn shots with her. I won’t lie. This was no easy session by any means. She took a long time to initially fall asleep and even while she was sleep it wasn’t very sound. My assistant and I took our time and did a lot more wrapped shots than I would normally but they kept her asleep and comfy so it was the best option. My favorite shot besides the one with mama and baby is Bella in my heart prop with tulips.
