NYC Newborn Photographer
I had arrived to the Manhattan home of Daniel & Alyssa on a rainy Friday morning in March. I would be meeting baby Lucas who seemed to be anxiously awaiting my arrival. I had spoke with his parents before the session and they had requested a few ideas from my portfolio. Of course it’s always up to the baby and what they want to do during a session. I never like to guarantee a pose or give false hope however I always do my best to get what my clients want. In this particular case, they wanted the hanging baby shot which is a series of composite photos pieces together in Photoshop. Baby Lucas didn’t want to be posed in that specific way so we tried another way and were very successful. It’s probably my favorite shot from the whole session. Well then there’s the dad shot where he’s holding Lucas in his hands. This skin to skin shows the true size and innocence of the baby which is always one of my favorites to include during a session. We were able to get prop, beanbag and patent shots and stylized the session with neutrals consisting of cream, grey and tan.
