NYC Newborn Photoshoot
I don’t typically run contests however I knew I had to do something when I reached 10k followers back in May when I signed my studio lease. The lucky winner was Arielle (a friend of a past client of mine). Her baby Jorie was due in October and I was planning to shoot my newborn promo video on the same day. It all worked out with the videographer and Jorie’s mama but it was extra pressure on me to make sure everything went better than ever. What’s that phrase? We plan, God laughs? Well that is what happened here. Baby Jorie had zero plan to sleep or be cooperative which only added to my stress. But as every great newborn photographer knows, you go with the flow and adjust accordingly. It was fine that I could not do what I originally had planned but instead opted to do some family portraits and wrap her for some prop shots instead. Even her little sister was a doll and their sibling shot was done within 10 minutes which is record breaking. The video turned out great (no one would ever know what happened from it) and Jorie’s mom was so happy with the final gallery. It all turned out perfect in the end!
