Westchester Baby Photographer
I met baby Jax at his newborn session the prior year. Fast forward a year and I am back at his grandmother’s Westchester home for his 1st year photos and cake smash session. The best way to capture those precious first few months is to book newborn, sitter and 1 year. After these sessions it is always so fun to compare how much the little ones have grown and developed their own personality. He was a quiet sleepy newborn and one of the most well-behaved sitters. I adored his prior sessions so much. He was not as cooperative for his 1st year photos but that is no surprise. This is a very tough age to document. So many babies experience what you call “stranger danger” and they are freaked out by new people and surroundings. So we do what we do best and sing and dance until we look so crazy they have no choice but to stare at us. After a few tunes and experimenting with Cheerios for the first time Jax was finally warming up to us. He did a complete 180 when the sugar high kicked in from his cake. He was all smiles and laughs and we couldn’t stop laughing. You never know what is going to happen at sessions and typically the cake portion is the risky part but in this scenario it was the best part. My little Jax has graduated the Jessica Elbar Photography 1 year program and I will miss his big beautiful eyes!
