Summer came and went in such a blur. In the midst of all the chaos I met with little Zachary and his sweet parents. I arrived to their Long Island City home on a warm sunny Tuesday at the end of July. They chose a neutral and grey color palette for little Zachary’s session. Through some minor hiccups with getting him to fall sleep at the start of the session, we finally got through our beanbag workflow. It was then onto prop shots where he was wrapped up paired back with a bear bonnet in one of my wooden bowls. Prior to the session his mom brought it to my attention that she worked for HBO and asked if I can do a Game of Thrones setup. Using her books and little figurines we figured out the best way to represent the tv series without making it look too cliché. I think we totally nailed it. Still waiting for another client to request a Harry Potter setup. I know it’s bound to happen sooner or later (hopefully sooner rather than later though). After finally settling back into sleep we were able to rock through the parent shots in no time.
