South Jersey Newborn Photography

South Jersey Newborn Photography

I arrived to the New Jersey home of baby Marcello. He was a big guy weighing almost 9lbs at birth. Mom had purchased my classic collection which comes with 10 images and 3 mini accordion albums. I came prepared to do 3-4 beanbag poses and one prop. This is just a guideline though and I sometimes need to modify based on the baby. I was not able to get as many beanbag poses as I had planned so I instead captured some of the best macro shots to date. I then knew it was time to wrap him and get him in a deeper sleep so we can continue on with the session. I was right and as soon as he was snuggly wrapped he was out like a light. We took out the flokati and did the potato sack poses in a few variations. I then moved onto the bed prop. At this time I had enough shots to deliver a full gallery however I had originally planned on using the wooden bucket but had to switch last minute because he was not in a deep enough sleep. I decided to set the bucket up quickly and if he stayed asleep after I unwrapped him then I would try to get a bucket shot. After all, I had to unwrap him anyway so there was no time wasted on either end. Well to my disbelief he stayed asleep and we got an amazing set of bucket shots. Take a look at this gallery and those super special detail shots.
