Williamsburg Baby Session
Let me start by saying the heat streak was continuing through Brooklyn this week but all my negativity ended real fast as soon as Mocha welcomed me at the door. I arrived to the Williamsburg home of baby Emily and her extra sweet family. Her family was a referral from anther Brooklyn family I always work with. Mom mentioned to me prior to the session that she wanted me to pose the baby with her daughter and dog. Siblings are a struggle no matter the age. I knew this was going to already be a challenge but now she also had a small dog. To my surprise it was a dachshund. My parents have two and one just so happens to also be named Mocha. I knew it was going to work out. When it was time for the sibling shot, I couldn’t believe my eyes. Little sister held the baby and smiled. The setup only took me a few minutes without any stress. Next up was Mocha. I posed Emily in the wooden bucket so I can have Mocha sit next to her. This is how I typically pose fur siblings next to the newborn. Luckily another set of hands from my assistant ensures baby is safe while I am working on keeping the pet also attentive and focused. After learned a few quick commands in Japanese, Mocha was ready to sit and take a few pictures. The session was styled in creams and grays and was particularly on the easier scale for me.
